I bought these boots in Wyoming in 2017 (when I went there to research my novel First Sight), because...well, you can't go dude ranching in the Wild West and not get yourself a genuine pair of cowboy boots! I wore them for a week in WY, wore them on the plane home to England, took 'em off, put 'em in the wardrobe, and never really found a reason to wear them again. There aren't many occasions in England that call for cowboy boots (unless it's fancy dress 😉). I faithfully brought them back to America with me this time and, whaddya know, I've finally worked out what they're for! I wear them EVERY DAY. They keep your feet dry in the long, wet grass. They keep the dust off your legs, and they stop the ticks and mossies biting when you're tramping through the woods. I get it, America. I finally get it. 👢🤠
